A Special Afternoon Tea Party with Sarah Beeny
On Wednesday 1st November we were thrilled to have the opportunity to be a part of a large group of older people to enjoy an Afternoon Tea Party at Sarah Beeny's family’s barn as part of Age UK Somerset’s 75th Anniversary celebrations!
Sarah and Graham were perfect hosts, talking to everyone and with nothing being too much trouble to ensure that every guest had a wonderful time. Their nephew, Nico, a talented and charismatic singer, provided the perfect musical entertainment to get everyone dancing (whether on their feet or in wheelchairs), and their sons (The Entitled Sons) were perfect young gentlemen serving the delicious afternoon tea (having received training from Evan and Gavin His Majesties butlers from Dumfries House), and later when putting themselves forward as dance partners to the absolute delight of the guests.
Our very own Nigel got the chance to dance with Sarah Beeny herself!
Both Shelagh and Mary were keen to dance and we loved watching them hit the dance floor!!
It was an event that will be remembered by all those who attended for a very long time.
The event marked a part of the filming for series 4 of Sarah Beeny's programme which will be aired in the new year.
