We would like to share some positive news about a new addition to our leadership team here at Elliscombe House. Visitors may have noticed a new friendly face around the home recently, and we are delighted to now formally introduce her to you.
Tina Welford has joined us as our new Nominated Individual, taking over from Glenn Trotman. In this role, Tina will work closely with the team to support the smooth running of the home, helping to ensure the highest standards of care, wellbeing, and day-to-day life for everyone who lives here. She will also liaise with our regulator, the Care Quality Commission (CQC), and help guide the home in areas of quality, safety, and continuous improvement.
Tina brings with her a great deal of experience and knowledge. She has previously worked as a regional and national inspector for the CQC and has been involved with other organisations. Throughout her career, she has held several senior roles in healthcare, including leadership positions within the NHS, where she supported both patient care and staff development.
Alongside this, Tina is passionate about leadership and development. She founded her own company focused on coaching and supporting others, and she is actively involved in several advisory and safeguarding roles. Most recently, she was appointed Chair of the Northampton Diocese Safeguarding Advisory Board, and she also serves as Trustee and Vice Chair of the KidsAid Foundation.
Tina said that she is “very much looking forward to getting to know everyone at Elliscombe House – residents, families, and staff alike – and becoming part of the community here”.
We are confident that she will be a wonderful addition to the home and will help us continue to provide a warm, caring, and supportive environment for all. Please join us in giving Tina a very warm welcome when you see her around the home.
We would also like to share that our Registered Manager Amy will be moving on to pastures new later this month, in order to embrace new challenges. We would like to thank her for leading Elliscombe House over the past 2 years, and wish her well for the future. Please be reassured that we are actively seeking a new Manager, and are interviewing some outstanding people for the position. We will let you know as soon as we have made an appointment.
Over the coming months you will see another familiar face at the home as Catherine Trotman, Director and co-founder, has stepped into the role of Managing Director. She replaces Glenn Trotman, who has moved away from the position he has held since the home was redeveloped and reopened by them. Catherine is looking forward to spending more time at Elliscombe House, as she and Tina get to know everyone better over the coming weeks and months.
