Elliscombe House provides person-centred residential and nursing care 24-hours a day by an impressive full team of experienced registered Nurses who are supported by Assistant Practitioners and Healthcare Assistants. The quality of the nursing teams’ approach to one-to-one, person-centred care builds unique relationships with residents and their families. It epitomises the individualised care that is at the heart of Elliscombe House’s vision and values.

Manager, Carla Bowman, is incredibly proud of her team.

“It’s pretty unique to have a Nurse Manager and Nurse Deputy Manager leading a team." She says. "The clinical understanding and support for each other enhances the care we provide, and it’s been a long time since I’ve worked in a care home where agency nurses are rarely required. This is a huge step to maintaining quality and something we really want to share with our community

Our nursing team have excellent knowledge in lifelong conditions and together have backgrounds in a range of relevant specialisms and care settings, including rehabilitation and care of the elderly. On admission to Elliscombe House the nurse plays the pivotal role in supporting the transition process for the resident and their family assuring immediate safety and comfort.

The nursing team always work closely together, promoting continuity of care for our residents and a friendly and supportive environment for Assistant Practitioners and Healthcare Assistants. In turn Elliscombe House is steadily becoming a sought-after place to work where staff feel valued and respected.
